MIAN MUHAMMAD JAMEEL’S LITERARY WORK: A SPECIAL STUDY OF TAFSIR FEHM-UL-QURAN

Abstract

Mian Muhammad Jameel is a talented writer, scholar, preacher and activist. He is also the founder of the important movement "Tehreek Dawat-E-Toheed" and the religious college "Abu Hurairah Sharia College". He has been delivering   Friday sermons at Masjid Abu Hurairah, Karim Block, Iqbal Town, Lahore for almost forty years. His sermons and lessons are adorned with evidence and arguments from the Quran and Sunnah. He travels all over the country to preach. He is the author of several books. His most important literary effort is "Tafsir Fehm-ul-Quran". It is adorned with many exquisite features including careful attention to word by word translation, arrangement of the connection of sentences and topics, narration of Hadiths with context, arrangement of key points from verses and arrangement of Tafsir-ul-Quran with the Quran. Other features of his all books include a simple, easy to understand style and embellishment with arguments from the Quran and Sunnah.
