Waiver Eligibility
Contemporary Journal of Social Science Review (CJSSR) recognizes the valuable contributions of researchers from diverse backgrounds and acknowledges that financial constraints may sometimes hinder the ability to publish in academic journals. To address this concern, CJSSR offers a limited number of waivers for article processing charges (APCs) based on the following eligibility criteria:
I. Categories of Waivers:
CJSSR offers two types of waivers:
- Full Waiver: Covers the entire APC for accepted articles.
- Partial Waiver: Covers a portion of the APC for accepted articles. The percentage of the covered amount will be determined by the CJSSR editorial board based on the applicant's circumstances.
II. Eligibility Criteria:
Full Waiver:
- Students: Applicants enrolled in a recognized Ph.D. or Master's program at the time of submission and residing in a low-income country as defined by the World Bank.
- Early Career Researchers: Researchers within five years of completing their Ph.D. who are residing in a low-income country as defined by the World Bank.
- Unemployed Researchers: Researchers who are currently unemployed and facing financial hardship.
- Researchers from Conflict Zones: Researchers residing in areas affected by ongoing conflict or political instability.
Partial Waiver:
- Researchers from Developing Countries: Researchers residing in a developing country as defined by the World Bank.
- Researchers facing Financial Hardship: Researchers experiencing exceptional financial hardship due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, family emergencies).
III. Application Process:
- Applicants must submit a waiver request form along with their manuscript during the submission process.
- The waiver request form should include:
- Applicant's contact information (including affiliation, if applicable)
- Justification for the waiver request, explaining the applicant's financial circumstances and hardship.
- Evidence supporting the justification (e.g., proof of student enrollment, unemployment status, residency in a low-income country, etc.).
- The CJSSR editorial board will review all waiver requests and make decisions based on the eligibility criteria and available resources.
- Applicants will be notified of the decision regarding their waiver request within two weeks of submitting their manuscript.
