Withdrawal Policy

Introduction

The "Contemporary Journal of Social Science Review" (CJSSR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic publishing. We understand that there may be circumstances where authors need to withdraw their manuscript from the review process. This policy outlines the procedures and conditions for manuscript withdrawal.

2. Withdrawal Before Review

Authors can withdraw their manuscript at any time before the review process begins. To do so, they should contact the CJSSR editorial office by email at [CJSSR email address]. There are no fees associated with withdrawal before review.

3. Withdrawal During Review

Authors can withdraw their manuscript during the review process, but they should be aware of the following:

  • After reviewer assignments: Once reviewers have been assigned to the manuscript, withdrawal will result in a delay in the review process for other manuscripts submitted by those reviewers.
  • After reviewer reports received: Once reviewer reports have been received, withdrawal will prevent the editor from making a final decision on the manuscript. The editor may still choose to share the reviewer reports with the author, at the editor's discretion.
  • After revision requested: If the author has been invited to revise and resubmit the manuscript, withdrawal at this stage will prevent the manuscript from being considered for publication in CJSSR.

To withdraw a manuscript during review, authors should contact the CJSSR editorial office by email at [CJSSR email address]. They should state their reason for withdrawal and indicate whether they would like to receive the reviewer reports.

4. Withdrawal After Acceptance

Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, withdrawal is generally not possible. However, in exceptional circumstances, authors may request to withdraw their manuscript after acceptance. Such requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the editor-in-chief.

Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscript after acceptance should contact the CJSSR editorial office by email at [CJSSR email address]. They should state their reason for withdrawal and provide any supporting documentation.

5. Consequences of Withdrawal

Authors who withdraw their manuscript before the review process begins will not be subject to any consequences.

Authors who withdraw their manuscript during or after the review process may be subject to the following consequences:

  • Delay in publication: As mentioned above, withdrawal during the review process may delay the review process for other manuscripts.
  • Inability to submit to CJSSR in the future: The editor-in-chief may, at their discretion, refuse to consider future submissions from authors who have withdrawn a manuscript during or after the review process.
