Abstract

This study explores the significant role of the Hadith narrations transmitted by the Sahabiyat (female Companions of the Prophet ﷺ) in shaping contemporary social legislation. As active participants in the early Islamic community, the Sahabiyat contributed valuable insights into matters of ethics, justice, social conduct, family relations, education, and community welfare. Their narrations not only reflect the foundational principles of Islamic moral and legal thought but also provide practical models of fairness, dignity, compassion, and social responsibility. By analytically examining their contributions within classical Hadith literature and comparing them with modern socio-legal frameworks, this research highlights how the values embedded in their traditions can inform current legislation and policy development. The findings demonstrate that the Sahabiyat’s narrations offer timeless guidance capable of enriching contemporary social systems with ethical clarity, gender-inclusive perspectives, and holistic approaches to communal well-being.
