Corpus-Based Analysis of the Representation of Women in Pakistani English Newspapers

Abstract

This research paper investigates the representation of WOMEN in the Pakistani English Daily Newspapers Corpus through studying the collocations and adjectives modifying the noun lemma WOMEN. Using Sketch Engine (a highly useful tool for corpus inquiry) the investigation of the target lemma has revealed the various aspects of presentation of WOMEN  in different domains of life portrayed in Pakistani English newspapers through various grammatical patterns.
