Abstract

Dastaan-e-Saiful Malook is the Story of Love between the prince of Egypt and the fairy Badi-ul Jamal of Koh-Kaaf. This Story has been mentioned in Arabian Nights and the Sindbad Story Cycle. This masnavi occupies the Same Place in Siriaki Language as also "Sahar-ul Bayan" and Gulzar-e-Naseem" in Urdu. Molvi Lutf Ali, the famous Siraiki Poet, Poeticized it in 1195 Hijrah Year. One hundred and fifty years before Molvi Lutf ali, Mullah Ghawasi, the poet Laureate of Sultan Abdullah Qutab Shah, translated this story from Persian to old Dakkani Language. Five Poets poeticized this story in Siraiki Language. Molvi Lutf Ali, Makhdoom Muhammad Bux, Sultan Soomro, Nawaz Seet Puri and Khadim Hussain Makhfi. The current research presents a review of the stories of the said poets.
