Environmental changes pose a serious threat to humanity today, primarily due to human activities and negligence toward nature. The Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) provides clear guidance on environmental protection. He emphasized planting trees, preventing water waste, cultivating land, and keeping the air and environment clean. In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty has instructed the maintenance of balance in the earth, water, mountains, forests, and animals. In the blessed Hadith, planting trees is considered a continuous act of charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), and those who cultivate barren land are granted rights over it. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prohibited contaminating stagnant water, unnecessary cutting of trees, and polluting the air. His teachings place central importance on ecological balance and environmental conservation. At the global level, the following measures are essential for environmental protection: campaigns for tree planting and forest conservation, safeguarding water resources and preventing pollution, reducing industrial waste and carbon emissions, promoting eco-friendly technology through international cooperation, and engaging educational and religious institutions to raise public awareness. The Seerah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) demonstrates that environmental protection is our responsibility both individually and collectively. If the global community unites and works together, environmental devastation can be prevented. By adhering to Islamic teachings, we can maintain a sustainable and healthy environment.
