A CRITICAL REVIEW OF THE ROLE OF CURRENT MEDIA IN HUMAN ATTITUDES OF INTOLERANCE IN THE CONTEXT OF ISLAMIC TEACHINGS

Abstract

The media can play an important role in reforming human attitudes of intolerance, but for this it is necessary that the media be brought under the same objectives and used so that the intellectual development of individuals and society is in accordance with Islam. Reforming an individual or a society means changing its thinking and behaviour, and the first requirement for bringing about change is to create an awareness of the difference between right and wrong. This distinction can be made through the media. People should be made aware of what path their individual and collective lives are on. What are the defects that are the cause of the chaos and misguidance of society in terms of national, moral and religious aspects. Awareness of these defects and evils can be created through the media. And through effective media, such an effective atmosphere should be created so that people can reform themselves individually, collectively and nationally according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah and a peaceful and welfare Islamic society is established, because our media has played an effective role in the deterioration of the current trend of our society. The distinction between good and evil has disappeared in what the media has presented and the atmosphere it has created. Such ideologies are being imposed on the people, which is promoting a negative trend in society. The circles of people's thinking and thinking are being changed, due to which the Islamic identity and social traditions are disappearing. Islamic slogans are being humiliated and insulted through propaganda. Modern media have become a source of negative effects and propaganda in human behaviour of intolerance. By using the media, the West has made Muslims possess such a slave mentality and intolerance that in their own eyes, their culture, national traditions and ideology of life have become worthless. They have used a dangerous and effective weapon like social media to do what was not possible even with the use of the largest military force. Each is a psychological war that is being fought successfully without weapons. The Muslim Ummah has a strong family system, which plays a fundamental role in social development and providing peace and tranquillity. On the contrary, the family system of the West is in a state of serious decline. The people of the West are spending a large part of their national income on the treatment of schizophrenia patients, and this disease is caused by poor family conditions. The modern media is presenting such programs that the family system of Muslims is also facing problems and destruction. The rapid development of the media has badly affected the intolerance in the family system. The effects of this irresponsible behaviour of the media are now starting to appear. The programs on it have no moral value, nor do they have any connection with intellectual values or religion.
