This study investigates the role of financial stress and family education in contributing to student dropout rates in government schools in Punjab, Pakistan. A quantitative research design was employed, with a sample size of 100 parents of dropout children, selected through convenience sampling. The primary focus of the study was to explore the extent to which financial instability and the level of education within families influence students' decision to drop out of school. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, assessing factors such as family income, parental education level, and the perceived impact of financial stress on children's educational progress. The findings reveal a significant relationship between financial stress, low family education levels, and the likelihood of students dropping out. The study underscores the importance of addressing economic challenges and enhancing family support systems to mitigate the dropout phenomenon in Punjab's government schools.
